Mood & Posture

How does being anger affect my Posture?

Mood Video

Set of Muscles

Anger is not a secondary mood. It is a mood. Here are different scenes of anger:

  • Anger can lead to murder (Genesis 4:3–8)
  • Anger leads to evil actions (Psalm 37:8)
  • Showing anger is foolish (Proverbs 12:16)
  • Gentle words can soothe anger (Proverbs 15:1)
  • Being quick-tempered is foolish (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
  • God becomes angry when we are ruled by anger (Amos 1:11)
  • Anger is like murdering someone (Matthew 5:21–22)
  • Jesus grew angry at sin (John 2:13–17)
  • Anger can give Satan a place in your life (Ephesians 4:26–27)
  • Christians should get rid of anger (Colossians 3:8)
  • Leaders in the church should not be quick-tempered (Titus 1:7)
  • Be slow to become angry (James 1:19)

The below set of muscles help us function and survive through anger but our muscles were not designed to function with anger in our bodies:

Superficial Front Line (Stomach Meridian)

The function of the SFL is to balance the Superficial back line (SBL), and to provide tensile support from the top to lift those parts of the skeleton which extend forward of the gravity line – the pubis, rib cage, and face. Myofascia of the SFL also maintain the postural extension of the knee. The muscles of the SFL stand ready to defend the soft and sensitive parts that adorn the front surface of the human body, and protect the viscera of the ventral cavity. Such as the throat, breast, belly, Groin, and Genitals.

Deep Front (Liver Meridian)

The DFL plays a major role in the body’s support:

  • Lifting in the inner arch;
    Stabalizing each segment of the legs, including the hip;
  • Supporting the lumbbar spine from the front;
  • Surrounding and shaping the abdominopelvic balloon;
  • Stabalizing the chest while allowing the expansion and relaxation of breathing
  • Balancing the fragile neck and heavy head atop it all.

Lack of support, balance, and proper tonus in the DFL (as in the common pattern where short DFL myofascia does not allow the hip joint to open fully into extension) will produce overall shortening in the body, encourage collapse in the pelvic and spinal core, and lay the groundwork for negative compensatory adjustments in all the other lines we have decribed.

Gait Style

Straight Neck

This is a deceptive pattern because it is almost correct… but not quite.

The stress that begins this stance is placed on the neck. The hypertension of the muscles of the neck will cause the vertebrae to wear in a way which causes the cushion in between each vertebrae to have problems at some point. A heel pushing into floor, movement begins the rhythmic role out to the outside edge of the foot, followed by the roll up onto the toes and into the next step.

General Associated Temperament: Choleric

Strengths of the Choleric:
Strong-willed, independent, visionary, practical, productive, decisive, leader.

Weaknesses of the Choleric:
Cold emotionally, self-sufficient, impetuous, domineering, unforgiving, sarcastic, angry, cruel.

Common Illness

 Arteriosclerosis, Constipation, Menstrual Cramps, Dizziness, Encephalitis, Epilepsy, Headache, Heartburn, Heart Conditions, High Blood Pressure (Hypertension), High Cholesterol Level, Impotence, Insomnia, Jaundice, Knees, Liver Conditions, Meningitis, Neck Tension, Phlebitis, Prostate, Ruptured Disk, Stroke, Tic Douloureux, Toothache, Tremors, Ulcers, Bunions will occur. Urinary Trouble, Vertigo. Impact is strongest on the big toe instead of evenly spread to all toes.

Goose Neck

The lack of muscle movement through the diaphragm is not allowing the body to right itself, causing the muscles to atrophy (form crookedly) in that area.

This happens simply because of the compromise of someone who grows up faster than his or her peers; in order to appear a similar height to those around him/her, they obtain this posture.

General Associated Temperament: Phlegmatic

Strengths of the Phlegmatic:
Calm, quiet, easy going, dependable, objective. diplomatic, efficient, organized, practical, humorous.

Weaknesses of the Phlegmatic:
Generally unmotivated, prone to procrastinate, selfish, stingy with money and time, self-protective, indecisive, fearful, a worrier.

Solutions

These solutions are immediate relief for any mood.

The only way out is through exchanging false claims with true claims. Praise God He gave us these directions in Galatians and Colossians explain the benefits of the book of Philippians’  list of things to think on.

Galatians 2:17-21

17 But if while seeking to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also have been found to be sinners, then is Christ an agent of sin? May it never be! 18 For if I build up again these things which I destroyed, I show myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I died to the law, in order that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, 20 and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not declare invalid the grace of God, for if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died to no purpose.

Galatians 2:17-21

You only have access to these emotions through Jesus: Philippians 4:8

Phillipians 4:4-23

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be made known to all people. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are pleasing, whatever things are commendable, if there is any excellence of character and if anything praiseworthy, think about these things. 9 And the things which you have learned and received and heard about and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last you have renewed your concern for me, for whom also you were thinking, but you had no opportunity to express it. 11 Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how both to make do with little and I know how to have an abundance. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to have an abundance and to go without. 13 I am able to do all things by the one who strengthens me. 14 Nevertheless you have done well by sharing* with me in my affliction. 15 Now you also know, Philippians, that at the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone, 16 because even in Thessalonica on more than one occasion you sent for my need. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek for the profit that increases to your account. 18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am well supplied because* I received from Epaphroditus what you had sent, a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. 19 And my God will fulfill your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Final Greetings and Benediction 21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers with me greet you. 22 All the saints greet you, and especially those of Caesar’s household. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Genesis 7-8: Ephesians 4

Emotional – Links between brain and the body. Judgement is a strange concept when you look at it from the internal mechanisms of the as simple the body. You may ask the questions why would the body turn on itself over something as simple as a harsh word or an angry word or gestor.

How can the brain even know or understand that I have made the world around me just a little less by acting out?

Why is having patience in a line make any difference to my circulator system?

When I act in rebellion against someone who is providing wise counsel does my liver really care?

In those moments, when I act to only gratify myself because I think no one else will know, but my body shuts down the reproduction of cells because of the inappropriate use of its mechanisms. We are built to serve and when we only love ourselves, we exchange healing for the poor substitute of just existing. That is when the art of disease takes over.

Ephesians 4: 25

Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Walk

20 minute walk. The heat of each step from heal strike to abdomen out through sternum and top of head is your massage away from a therapist. It’s amazing what a 20 minute walk can do. Recite or listen to Philippians 4 while you walk.

Gallon of Water a Day

Yes. This is repeated a lot. Water is free. So I’m thrilled to repeat it as it is the top 2 requirements for us to heal. Muscles require hydration to do the whole ADP ATP exchange. This helps dispose fibers from toxic chemicals restoring posture.

Why A Gallon of Water A Day?
