Mood & Posture
How does grief affect my Posture?
Mood Video
Set of Muscles
Job experiences such sadness in Job 15-16 and in Psalm 69:6 it states, “Though I speak, my grief is not relieved; and if I remain silent, how am I eased?”
Job 6:1–3:
Then Job answered,
2 “Oh that my grief were actually weighed
And laid in the balances together with my calamity!
3 “For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; Therefore my words have been rash.
The below set of muscles help us function and survive through grief but our muscles were not designed to function with helplessness in our bodies:
Superficial Back Line (Bladder Meridian)
The overall postural function of the SBL is to support the body in full upright extension, to prevent the tendency to curl over into flexion exemplified by the fetal position. This all-day postural function requires a higher proportion of slow-twitch, endurance muscle fibers in the muscular portions of this myofascial band. The constant postural demand also requires extra-heavy sheets and bands in the fascial portion, as in the Achilles tendon, hamstrings, the ‘cables’ of the erector spinae, and the occipital ridge.
The exception to the extension function comes at the knees, which, unlike other joints, are flexed to the rear by the muscles of the SBL. In standing, the interlocked tendons of the SBL assist the cruciate ligaments in the maintaining the postural alignment between the tibia and the femur. Source & Buy Book: Anatomy Trains by Thomas W. Deep Front (Liver Meridian)
The DFL plays a major role in the body’s support:
- Lifting in the inner arch;
Stabalizing each segment of the legs, including the hip; - Supporting the lumbbar spine from the front;
- Surrounding and shaping the abdominopelvic balloon;
- Stabalizing the chest while allowing the expansion and relaxation of breathing
- Balancing the fragile neck and heavy head atop it all.
Lack of support, balance, and proper tonus in the DFL (as in the common pattern where short DFL myofascia does not allow the hip joint to open fully into extension) will produce overall shortening in the body, encourage collapse in the pelvic and spinal core, and lay the groundwork for negative compensatory adjustments in all the other lines we have decribed.
Gait Style
Tip Toe
Tip Toe is the flow of our mass must start with picking up our leg, we need to engage the muscles all along the midline. Engaging muscles all the way from the pelvic floor to the diaphragm begins the process of carrying our mass – which we know as walking. The movement of pushing the heal into the floor begins the rhythmic role.
From the heal, the force moves out to the outside edge of the foot, followed by the roll up onto the toes, then into the next step.
General Associated Temperament: Sanguine
Strengths of the Sanguine: Outgoing, responsive to people, warm & friendly, talkative, enthusiastic, compassionate, known as the “puppy dog” temperament.
Weaknesses of the Sanguine: Undisciplined, emotionally unstable, unproductive, egocentric, exaggeration.
Common Illness
Acne, Angina Pectoris, Ankles Swollen, Appendicitis, Asthma, Bladder Control Issues, Bronchitis, Cataracts, Chest Pains, Coccy (Lower Back), Colitis, Cystitis, Drug Addiction, Eczema, Fainting, Fatigue, Fluid Retention (edema), Hip (chronic pain), Hypoglycemia, Infertility, Laryngitis, Legs (swelling), Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension), Motion Sickness (land, sea, & air), Mucus, Ovaries (cysts), Pneumonia, Sciatica, Scoliosis, Teeth and Gums, Thyroid, Tonsillitis.
Heaviness occurs under calcaneus, which causes misdirection of mass to go through the joints; to the ankle, knee, hip and lower back – instead of to the muscles themselves.

Straight Neck
This is a deceptive pattern because it is almost correct… but not quite.
The stress that begins this stance is placed on the neck. The hypertension of the muscles of the neck will cause the vertebrae to wear in a way which causes the cushion in between each vertebrae to have problems at some point. A heel pushing into floor, movement begins the rhythmic role out to the outside edge of the foot, followed by the roll up onto the toes and into the next step.
General Associated Temperament: Choleric
Strengths of the Choleric:
Strong-willed, independent, visionary, practical, productive, decisive, leader.
Weaknesses of the Choleric:
Cold emotionally, self-sufficient, impetuous, domineering, unforgiving, sarcastic, angry, cruel.
Common Illness
Arteriosclerosis, Constipation, Menstrual Cramps, Dizziness, Encephalitis, Epilepsy, Headache, Heartburn, Heart Conditions, High Blood Pressure (Hypertension), High Cholesterol Level, Impotence, Insomnia, Jaundice, Knees, Liver Conditions, Meningitis, Neck Tension, Phlebitis, Prostate, Ruptured Disk, Stroke, Tic Douloureux, Toothache, Tremors, Ulcers, Bunions will occur. Urinary Trouble, Vertigo. Impact is strongest on the big toe instead of evenly spread to all toes.
Duck Walk
Duck Walk – they tend to walk on the middle of the foot, causing there to be no sway to one side (either the left or the right), therefore creating a lack of oblique movement on the opposite side.
The weight of the person is distributed through the middle of the foot, contracting the Plantar area of the foot to such an extent that the toe area is retracting, causing the toes to become hammer-like in appearance. This causes the heel area to compress, so that the bone of Calcaneus and Tibia are in close proximity to each other, which eventually causes Achilles’ injuries.
General Associated Temperament: Melancholy
Strengths of the Melancholy:
Usually Multi-gifted (particularly in the arts, but not necessarily), analytical, aesthetic, self-sacrificing, industrious, self-disciplined.
Weaknesses of the Melancholy:
Moody, self-centered, persecution-prone, revengeful, touchy, theoretical, unsociable, critical, negative, prone to depression.
Common Illness
Bright’s Disease, Bunion, Bursitis, Calluses, Corns, Cholesterol, Colds, Colitis, Deafness, Dry Skin, Edema, Flatulence, Gas pain, Hernia, Hiatus Hernia, Hiccoughs, Indigestion, Leukemia, Menstrual Cramps, Nausea, Parkinson’s Disease, Scoliosis, Sprain, Strain, Spur on Heel, Toothache, Varicose Veins.
Solutions
These solutions are immediate relief for any mood.
The only way out is through exchanging false claims with true claims. Praise God He gave us these directions in Galatians and Colossians explain the benefits of the book of Philippians’ list of things to think on.
Galatians 2:17-21
17 But if while seeking to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also have been found to be sinners, then is Christ an agent of sin? May it never be! 18 For if I build up again these things which I destroyed, I show myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I died to the law, in order that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, 20 and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not declare invalid the grace of God, for if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died to no purpose.
Galatians 2:17-21
You only have access to these emotions through Jesus: Philippians 4:8
Phillipians 4:4-23
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be made known to all people. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are pleasing, whatever things are commendable, if there is any excellence of character and if anything praiseworthy, think about these things. 9 And the things which you have learned and received and heard about and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last ⌊you have renewed your concern for me⌋, for whom also you were thinking, but you had no opportunity to express it. 11 Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how both ⌊to make do with little⌋ and I know how ⌊to have an abundance⌋. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both ⌊to have an abundance⌋ and to go without. 13 I am able to do all things by the one who strengthens me. 14 Nevertheless you have done well by sharing* with me in my affliction. 15 Now you also know, Philippians, that at the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone, 16 because even in Thessalonica ⌊on more than one occasion⌋ you sent for my need. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek for the profit that increases to your account. 18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; ⌊I am well supplied⌋ because* I received from Epaphroditus ⌊what you had sent⌋, a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. 19 And my God will fulfill your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be the glory ⌊forever and ever⌋. Amen. Final Greetings and Benediction 21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers with me greet you. 22 All the saints greet you, and especially those of Caesar’s household. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Walk
20 minute walk. The heat of each step from heal strike to abdomen out through sternum and top of head is your massage away from a therapist. It’s amazing what a 20 minute walk can do. Recite or listen to Philippians 4 while you walk.
Gallon of Water a Day
Yes. This is repeated a lot. Water is free. So I’m thrilled to repeat it as it is the top 2 requirements for us to heal. Muscles require hydration to do the whole ADP ATP exchange. This helps dispose fibers from toxic chemicals restoring posture.
Make More Blood
Putting is Simply: Eat 3 Meals a day with variety including a meat, fat, grain, fruit and veggies for every meal. Add spices!
Vitamin D
True non-synthetic lard, fat and oil is the “love that covers a multitude of sins.”
Buy Fish Eggs Here (High in Vitamin D) Take 3 in the AM and 3 in the PM for 3 months and then switch to 3 a day for just living in this synthetic world. Vitamin helps dispose the junk faster!
Bodywork (1-3 sessions)
If none of those things helped, come in for 1-3 sessions to “wring” out the chemicals supporting a “stuck” sensation of this mood.
